A group of Chinese became Australian citizen in 1989. Several years later, they were reunited with parents and created their home in Australia.
A 73 years old lady who came from shanghai, china, who came Australia 14 years ago. She was in her retiring age when she came. She looked after her grandchildren and did house work like Chinese elderly people normally did. And they want stay with their children forever. Unfortunately, 14 years passed, grandchildren are growing up, but they despise their grandparents. Elder loosed their position in the family. Grandchildren never communicate with them. Kids speaking English at home as well, but they cannot understand. Therefore, they are living together without any common. They thought, they are nanny and extra person in the family. In addition, they cannot communicate with neighbours with limited English. Chinese are living dispersive. Therefore, they feel lonely.
Her children and grandchildren do not want to live with them anymore. She moved out of the house and move in government’s public apartment with her husband. The only thing they feel pleased which is government are taking care of them. Government are much closer than their own kids. Government not only provide club for them for chatting and playing MaJiang with the similar ages of Chinese, but also support them. The workers from local city council let them feel hope.
