Diamond Valley Miniature Railway

The railway is located amidst a natural bushland setting, along the banks of the Diamond Creek in the Eltham Lower Park, Eltham, Victoria. It is a popular tourist attraction in Eltham especially for families. Trains include scaled diesel locomotives and real miniature steam engines, suburban red rattlers and sugar cane trains.

The railway operates between 11 am and 5 pm every Sunday and between 1pm and 4 pm on most public holidays as well as Wednesdays during school holidays (not December).

The railway will celebrate its 50th anniversary in October 2011.

Yarra Plenty Regional Library holds a number of photographs in its local history collection which are also accessible online
