Life in the north
I have lived in Melbourne for 9 years. The suburbs I have lived in are all Northern; Fairfield, Bellfield, West Heidelberg and Coburg. The neighbours were always good and I like the neighbourhoods. Lots of people from different cultures live in this area. A lot of change is happening now, with many new buildings going up all over the place. As soon as one shop closes down, it reopens under another name.
I love Highpoint Ten Pin Bowling alley. I go there on Wednesday nights to play in a team called the Wildcats. I would like a big sporting complex in my area with facilities for every sport that I like.
I am now studying in an Adult Community Education centre in Reservoir called PRACE, at Merrilands . I hope to move into my own place around here one day, but rents are so high in this area now, it’s hard to find a good place. Ben Bell. July 2009.
